October Newsletter

No chapter meeting for October.

Because of the change in the date of our meetings and the events that had already been planned, we will not have a chapter meeting in October.

Come ride and see the beautiful fall colors!

This year we will be taking Friday to ride to Johnson City and seeing some sights on the way. On Saturday, we will venture through the states of Tennessee, North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, and Kentucky on this single ride. It will be a great ride through great roads in a beautiful area in the fall. We will gather back at the hotel Saturday night for laughs and fellowship. This is the last of our overnight rides this year so you won't want to miss it.

The hotel is the Comfort Suites in Johnson City (423-610-0010). We've reserved 12 king rooms for $80/night for the Ring of Fire Group. The rooms will be available first come first served and the block will be available until September 1st. We've had several people wait until the last minute and not be able to get a room on a couple of our rides this year so it is best to get your room reserved early.

Please join us and help us make this a great ride to tide us over the winter!

Our dinner rides begin on the first Tuesday in April and go through the last Tuesday in October. The dinner rides are held every other Tuesday Night, Rain or Shine. We meet at Boswells Ring of Fire and ride from there at 6:30 p.m. to a different restaurant each week. If you are new to the group or have never attended a dinner ride, you are missing a real treat. The size of the group changes from week to week but, we always have a good crowd. Each week a different person leads the ride and we take the most scenic route available. I can't stress enough how much fun these rides are. It is also a great way to get to know others within the group because it is a smaller group than the big ride events on the weekend. Remember, if it rains, come on anyway and we will head out in cars. Plan to attend a dinner ride this year and I promise you won't be disappointed!!!
